FRIDAY 30th MARCH Good Friday

The licorice factory is in an old flour mill building.
After a lovely Devonshire coffee at the licorice factory
we couldn't resist buying some chocolate covered licorice.
YUM!YUM!

After a nice morning walk and a hot cross bun for good Friday we headed into Junee. Nev had seen an ad for a car museum which happened to be right behind the Junee Licorice Factory so we could do both things with the one stop. The cars were mostly Fords not restored but in original condition all belonging to one fellow who used to be the ford dealer in Junee for 40 years.
Nev looks like he fits in with the era!!!!

Back on the road towards Albury/Wodonga crossed into Victoria and headed for EBDEN and a campsite on the Hume Dam. WOW! What a find magnificent view on waters edge free camp full moon beautiful weather couldn't want any more.

FRIDAY 30th MARCH 2018 Good Friday

We found Bethungra Dam not sure what to expect as it is so dry everywhere but it did have some water in it and a lot of ducks. This was a free camp about 5 kms off the highway between Cootamundra and Junee.

Not a lot of water but nice view from van.
It didn't take long for Nev to relax!!!!

THURSDAY 29th MARCH 2018

Woke up to beautiful sunrise. 'Helped' Graham and Michelle hand feed their cattle in the back paddocks. A new experience for us and a lot of fun riding around in the little red suzuki and ute.

Loading the ute and spreading out before the cattle charged in!!!

Left Oberon and lunch at Bathurst before heading to Cowra. Stopped and walked through the Japanese Gardens a place I have always wanted to visit. A beautiful oasis in the middle of drought stricken country side.

Headed  to Young, Cootamundra, Junee to Bethungra Dam for the night.

WEDNESDAY 28th MARCH 2018

Left Fingal Bay at 9.15 am to begin our 3 month caravan trip. Headed down to Sydney and prepared to tackle Pennant Hills Road with the van. Called into Castle Hill to collect Kerry's new glasses. Then up the Great Western Highway to Oberon to our friends Michelle and Graham who live on a property called Everdowns for the night.
