SUNDAY 3rd JUNE

Left campsite and back on Gibb River Rd we only went a few kms before Pete radioed he had a flat tyre. Pulled over and her had shredded it well and truly!!

Tyre was shredded

Changed the tyre and headed over the Napier Range and then the Leopold Range, had morning tea at the lookout amazing views you cannot capture it in photos. Turned into Mt Hart and travelled 50kms past green grass and crossed a lot of creek beds to the homestead, big airstrip set up and camped under some big old trees. Drove 4km down the road to a great swimming hole and had a dip in Barkers Pool and sat in the natural spa.

Water was cold but refreshing

The country is beautiful can’t believe it is winter.
Sunset on “Sunset Hill’ with wine and biccies.

The sunsets are beautiful the sky is so clear
Very funny night as Ian dropped battery between the floor boards at lookout and then got a drill out to remove it and retrieve his battery. Lovely colours in the sunset!!!

Pulling the place apart to look for Ian's battery!!
