SATURDAY 30th
JUNE
Ready to
leave Katherine 9am and said goodbye to everyone. We are heading home now while
they continue north for another couple of months. We had a great time, they were a lot of fun
to be with – lots of laughs around the campfires.
Stopped at
Cutta Cutta Caves for morning tea. Didn’t go through caves as we just missed a
tour. Decided to drive to Daly Waters Pub for the night. Pulled in about 1.30pm
and showed our dirt patch for the night. It hasn’t changed in 29 years when Nev
hooked up their gas cooker for them as they had been waiting for a gasfitter
for months. The old stone walls are covered with footie jerseys, bras and
undies hanging from the ceiling and badges and cards on every surface. A real
one off pub.

Some great signs around the place. Booked in for Barra and Beef
Barbie and had a great night with some singers and a lovely dinner.
