WEDNESDAY 27th JUNE

Quiet morning, more cleaning to try to get rid of red dust!! It is everywhere.
Drove down to Lake Argyle for our “Best of Lake Argyle” cruise. While we waited we went up to the lookout it is a huge area.

Looking one way from the lookout
We explored more than 120km of the lake. We saw from rugged cliffs to open water down the southern end where there were wetlands with a variety of bird life. We stopped off on a tiny island to fossick for Zebra Rock, I found quite a nice piece! As we were cruising we saw some crocodiles and actually watched one come very close to the boat to eat some fish we were feeding.
A large freshie came up to the boat

Nev fossicking away at the end of tiny island

We watched the beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne and there was also a full moon so the sky was red and orange to the west and blue and pink to the east. The moon shone on the water too it was absolutely amazing. The water was perfectly still not a ripple around the boat which made the reflections amazing.

Refelctions in the water were amazing

Sunset over Lake Argyle on one side of boat!

Other side of boat moon rising!
Dinner at the resort bar and then drove the 80kms back to Kununurra. Great day!!
