Driving the
4x4 back road to Wyndham today. Crossed the Ord River at the Ivanhoe Crossing a
long causeway through the river only accessible in the dry
but still
plenty of water on it. Called in to all the stops along the way – Middle
Springs, Black Rock Falls, Spring Creek and down to boat ramp to look for salties
But none
there.

On to Parry’s Lagoon thousands of birds and lovely water lillies. A world Heritage Area and then on to Wyndham to 5 Rivers Lookout.

Amazing 360 degrees view. The junction of The Ord River, Forest River, Durack River, Pentecost River and King River.

Wyndham very dead, no industry and a sad place as far as aborigines go. Nothing going on derelict ghost town.

Drove back
along the bitumen and got stopped for 45 mins while the road works did some
blasting. Back to Kununurra quite late.
