SUNDAY 24th JUNE

One more gorge left. It is one of the best - Emma Gorge. Drove out over the rivers and up the dirt driveway and said goodbye to resident donkey of El Questro.

Goodbye to El Questro!!!!

Drove along the Gibb River Rd to Emma Gorge, luckily we were early as it got very busy later. Did the 3.2km walk and climb over rocky areas to the gorge. It is beautiful with ferns growing on the gorge walls. Absolutely freezing water but at one side it has a warm water spring which stopped you going numb in the water.

Spectacular gorge unfortunately colours don't show up
There is ripple marks on the really hard rocks formed by sediment deposited in flowing water millions of years ago which was really different and interesting.

This rock is really hard

As this was our last gorge our practical joker Pete who always has a plan for the boys on trips decided this was the place, so all the men had to dress up for their photo!!!!!!!!!!

Little Ian, Paul, Big Ian, Pete, Nev and in front Ken
Continued on bitumen to Kununurra where we will stay in van park for 4 nights on power. WOW!!
