Went for a run into Wodonga to fuel up and a few groceries.
After lunch decided to check out part of the "High Country Rail Trail" so went for a 6km walk. Some of the route taken by explorers Hume and Hovell. They followed the lakes edge and had to cross four major rivers by foot in 1824.
History of their exploration in the area. |
A monument was erected in 1924 in memory of the trip, it is on the Murray River Highway near Ebden.
