TUESDAY 3rd APRIL 2018

Caravans still pouring in but plenty of room. Really well organised a credit to the small town volunteers.Walked up to the town centre and visited the info centre got a program for the next few days, lots of activities starting to get excited now.

They have an amazing museum with old buildings relocated and very good collections. one amazing thing was Jim Simpsons rug. He was a WW1 pilot who was shot down and in German Prison and so they didn't take his new jumper to send to the Russian front he unravelled the wool.He did this with lots of woollen things he could get his hands on and knitted 2m x 2.1m rug of Australia. It is amazing!!!

The rug is on display in glass case.

We have made our first week in the caravan and i think we brought everything we need (and more!!!) The van is working really well and we have had fantastic weather every day so far. The only thing we need is a fire pit of some kind as you are allowed to have fires here and the local rugby teams sells wood to raise money.
