Leaving Uluru today and have two days up our sleeve before our booking in Alice Springs. Stopped at Curtain Springs for morning tea and then found Owen Reserve for a couple of free camping days. We drove in through the red dust and corrugations to a beautiful dry river bed and guess what we managed to get the van and troopy both bogged in the sand. We had plenty of helpers and Pete pulled us out and we continued down the river bed to our campsite.

We had plenty of firewood and a huge campfire to keep us warm that night.
