We left Coober Pedy and went with Ian and Rhonda to see "The Breakaways" about 11 kms off the Stuart Highway. Drove past hundreds of diggings of mines to this amazing landscape.Mad Max was filmed here it looks like another planet. Flat everywhere else all around.

Back on highway to Cadney Roadhouse arrived at lunchtime for the night. After lunch two Ians and us drove to "The Painted Desert" which had more beautiful coloured hills. It was a long dusty corrugated drive and the sun wasn't in the ideal spot for the colours but still pretty amazing in the middle of nowhere.
